What you need to know to keep your patients (and your pharmacy) healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic

All of us at FDS extend our deepest gratitude for all that pharmacies and caregivers are doing to care for our communities across the country.

You are our heroes, and we will support you as best as we can.

Obtain a CLIA Certificate Waiver: It’s time to be proactive. If you haven’t done this already, obtaining a CLIA Certificate Waiver will help you with Coronavirus-related care options on the horizon. It also covers certification needed for Strep tests, flu tests, and other FDA-approved tests.

Apply for a Provider Transaction Access Number (PTAN): To encourage participation and bolster the COVID-19 relief effort, CMS is offering more flexibility with PTAN and Medicare provider enrollment.

Every day, we’re looking to better understand how we can help your pharmacy, both during this time and after. Just like you, we’re reevaluating our services to see how we can increase the value they provide for our customers. In fact, we’re already making plans to invest further in our technology and services. In the interim, here is how our current services can help you during this time:

Med sync, included with FDS ENGAGE, allows you to help more people with the time you have. Here's how:

  • Reduce your patients' potential exposure to the virus by allowing to pick up their refills all at once instead of several times per month.
  • Streamline your delivery program. Fewer deliveries per patient means you can cover more patients per month.

Time is your most precious commodity. FDS ECONCILE puts a dedicated reconciliation analyst on your team and in your corner.

  • Trust your analyst to chase down payments and reconcile claims for you
  • Identify missing reimbursements and drastically reduce the number of claims still unpaid after 60 days

With the right medical billing software, your pharmacy can be the more accessible alternative to the local hospital. FDS MEDBILL helps you:

  • Optimize reimbursements for services like immunizations and testing
  • Process medical claims for all insurance types, including Medicare and Medicaid
  • Verify a patient's coverage instantly with electronic eligibility verification
